Without adding a bulky transformer or PowerPass distribution module, the 9PX split-phase power supply delivers a 120V or 208V output. Available in three models, from 6 to 10 kVA, the 9PX split-phase UPS allows you to attach battery modules for extended runtime.

What are the advantages of a 9PX split-phase versus a traditional 9PX?

Output: traditional 9PX UPS models (6–10 kVA) offer 208V only. On the other hand, 9PX split-phase UPS models natively offer both 120V and 208V output.
Rack space and weight: a 9PX UPS along with a transformer is heavier and occupies more rack space than the 9PX split-phase UPS. For example, the 9PX6KTF5 is 6U and weighs 91 kg (201 lb) while the split-phase 9PX6KSP is 4U and weighs 71 kg (157 lb).
Flexibilty: for flexible output connection options, you can easily pair split-phase models with a wide variety of PDU options.
