Eaton’s fellowships program provides the youth of India with the resources and challenges to develop skills that will make them the leaders of tomorrow. Our programs build committed leaders for tomorrow who have the potential to transform the spaces where they work. Under Eaton Fellowship initiative, Eaton works with Teach for India and Vigyan Ashram, both of which have developed strong programs to empower youth to bring about transformation in our society.
- Teach for India Fellowship - There is a severe deficit of people at all levels of the education system that are committed to working together to improve the capacity and quality of our nation’s schools. Eaton supports Teach for India Fellowship in its pursuit of bringing India’s committed and most promising individuals, from the nation’s best universities and workplaces, to serve as full-time teachers to children from low-income communities in some of the nation’s most under-resourced schools. Through this experience of teaching in classrooms and working with key education stakeholders (like students, principals, and parents), the Fellows get exposed to the grassroot realities of India’s education system. They then begin to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and mindsets necessary to attain positions of leadership in the education system and identify their role in building a larger movement for equity in education.
- Design Innovation Centre (DIC) Fellowship – Our rural areas are facing with various developmental issues. These problems are great opportunities for creative minds. DIC aims at training youth to taken on these challenges and come out with useful solutions. DIC incubates ideas which are useful for the society. Efforts are made to convert these ideas into products, based on users’ requirements and ability to invest. DIC fellowship is offered to youth with technical background (Engineers/PG Science, etc.) and Agriculture Engineering students. They work on real life problems in the community and design a solution for the same ( e.g energy application/water/sanitation etc).
